A vintage Lucas magneto
I was searching the web one day for some information on antique motorcycle magnetos and found this wonderful PDF on a German vintage motorcycle website. It's interesting that this PDF was the only part of that website written in English. That tells me this article must be pretty darn good to include it.

If you've ever wondered about the inner workings of a vintage ignition system, in particular the magneto, you'll find this wonderfully written and illustrated primer to be extremely helpful. Thanks Classic Cycle! It was certainly worth the price of the subscription! And because they give this away (see last page), I didn't feel bad sharing it with my friends.
